2016 Lake Inawashiro Half Marathon


Name of Competition 2016 Lake Inawashiro Half Marathon
Purpose The marathon course will go around Lake Inawashiro, which is a famous natural feature of the Fukushima Prefecture. The purpose of this marathon is to address harmful rumors about Fukushima Prefecture, which has already been facing difficulties due to the unprecedented damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as serious nuclear issues, and to let people from all over Japan and the world know that the prefecture is a safe place with its natural and beautiful landscapes to promote restoration by having many people participate in the competition. Moreover, we aim to make it a marathon that considers environmental conservation, such as beautification activities of Lake Inawashiro whose deteriorating water quality has become a concern by continuously sponsoring the marathon.

Prize ・Award certificates and complimentary gifts shall be given to those who finish the race in 1st to 6th places.
・All participants will receive participation awards. All participants who complete the race will be awarded compltion certificates.
Entry Qualification Men and women who are healthy and can complete the race within the time limit designated by the host. Ages shall be the actual age as of October 23 , 2016.

Entries will be accepted from April 15, 2016 (different entry period shall be applied for some cases) via the following methods.

Entries shall be made by dialing the following number. Participation fees shall be paid by credit card or at designated convenience stores.

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays. *Handling fees shall be charged in addition to participation fees.

Entries shall be made by completing the fax application form.
Participation fees shall be paid by credit card or at designated convenience stores.
